A 22 year old Caucasian woman came in seeking help to keep her son’s father away from her and her family. The defendant was in prison for multiple charges, the most serious charge was Involuntary Manslaughter.

Client 078-018 stated that she was informed of the defendant getting out of prison the next day. Client 078-018 said she was afraid for her life, because he had written her many threatening letters stating what he was going to do to her when he got out of prison. Client 078-018 filled out the Exparte and the judge approved. The client was also granted her one year Protective Order. The defendant cannot be any place the client may be or at the child’s daycare. Both parties must participate in mediation. Client 078-018 thanked U Care, Inc. and staff for their help. The Client states she knew it was only a piece of paper, but it let the defendant know she is not the little girl he left 5 years ago.
